Recommended civic reparations programs along the Tiber River embankment, Rome, to reconnect people and the waterbody in consideration of the less assuming urban historical fabric.
via between is a project focused on developing a dialogue with the Tiber River by introducing a new set of programs and linking them to the existing urbanism. From Via Giulia, one of the most important streets of the region, perpendicular but lively streets are suggested leading to the river.

In replacement of the current embankment which limits direct interactions, a dynamic urban fabric edge is proposed, outlining the additional massing along the waterfront. Two levels of pedestrians are provided - one at the Via Giulia level and the other relatively close to the water level connected by stairs and accessible ramps at multiple points along the edge. The two main programs occupying the space are the tourist market+museum and the theatre/performance space, both located adjacent to the green area, substituting the current parking lot.
